Student JobsStudents find themselves in a number of different positions financially. Some students are lucky to have a scholarship or parents who can afford and are willing to pay for their education. Other students have to worry about paying for their tuition as well as their living expenses. Regardless of which category you fall into, it is a good idea to get a head start on your career by getting some work experience under your belt while you are still in school.
If you are a full time student, working a full time job on top of that to pay for your bills can be too much to handle. Luckily, there are part time jobs and internships that make it easier to juggle work and your education. Of course, these types of jobs will not pay off your student loans, but taking advantage of these opportunities while you are still in school can fastrack your career and open doors to higher paying positions once you graduate. A lot of unpaid interns end up getting offered paid positions once they graduate. And even if you do not end up working for the company that you interned with or worked part time for while you were in school, the business connections you make can be very valuable in the long run.
Make an appointment with a career counselor at your school for more information on student jobs.
